Classic Investments was established in 1983 to serve the real estate needs of companies and individuals in South Florida. Throughout the years, we have represented Buyers and Sellers in transactions ranging from single condo purchases to $80 million commercial property sales.

As a small firm, we have the agility to react to changes in the marketplace and the specific requirements of each transaction, without the need to wade through the bureaucratic red tape of larger firms. And our years of experience have forged strong relationships within the community and the South Florida real estate market.

History of Classic

In the spring of 1983, two sisters working for a real estate developer decided to venture off and create their own real estate company. Delia Verdeja and Teresita Curbelo knew what they wanted to accomplish: To provide quality real estate services to those companies and individuals that were looking for properties in South Florida as investments, or for themselves.

With their mission set, they now needed a name. Lucky to call the late and great ad guru, Tere Zubizarreta of Zubi Advertising, a friend, the sisters met with her and shared their vision that not only companies should view their properties as investments, but also the individual that is buying his or her first home. And so, Zubi, as she was lovingly referred to by friends, suggested that these properties should be considered Classic Investments.

Armed with a name and a bunch of corporate documents, the sisters opened a small office at 8550 Flagler Street in Miami, and began working the phones and the Telex machine. Throughout the years, the technology changed from the Telex, to the Fax, and on to email. From wired to wireless. The location also changed a few times since then, from Miami to Kendall, eventually bringing us to our current office in Coral Gables. But something that hasn’t changed is the dedication to serving the South Florida community.
